Allan Hoffman has been selling travel with style for more than twenty-five years, as a professional and certified travel consultant that is recognized as a travel expert. His work has appeared in Conde' Nast Traveler Magazine, Travel and Leisure Magazine and Luxury Travel Magazine. He has also been a noted content editor and contributor on popular websites like About.com, Igougo.com, tripadvisor.com and Kayak. Allan was born in Newport News, Virginia and the historic filled area of Hampton Roads Virginia. A growing medium size town, Newport News and the surroundings of Hampton Roads (Jamestown Island) are 400 years old in 2007. The Hampton Roads area is built on shipping and commerce. It was in the ports of Hampton Roads that my father worked as a harbor pilot bringing in many of the first cruise ships to the area. While most travel agents have formal training to start in the industry, Allan started referring clients and growing His knowledge of the industry and destinations back in the seventh grade! These early years of his "hobby" of learning about travel and destinations helps to focus His career and provides you a potential customer with an expert in the travel field. It was only after work in the industry, a solid college education and solid industry training and experience that He embarked on a career in travel.

People watching is one of Allan's favorite hobbies. Driven to understand people better, Allan majored in Social Work at East Carolina University. His compassion for people was not only to understand but help people. It took a while, but Allan would learn how to use strong customer service focus and travel logistics and trip planning to help others. Allan's early years introduced him to travel and specifically to indepth vacation planning. He discovered how to turn his hobby of watching people and planning great trips into a career. So while in college Allan worked for: the school several tourism and marketing companies -- leaders in their fields. . After four years at ECU, Allan earned his Bachelor of Science in Social Work. After graduating from East Carolina University, Allan went to post graduate study as a travel consultant and hospitality operations specialist with Southeastern Academy and the Tourism Institute, in travel management and consulting requires a great deal of understanding of technology to produce the best in vacation and corporate travel services.
